Hey guys and gals.....
So a popular complaint I get is.... My firearm doesn't fire reliably when sub temps hit.
Simple maintenance and cleaning makes your firearm last but sometimes you need to go a little further. Heavy grease and cosmoline does great for keeping things from rusting but both will thicken and work like sludge when they get cold. Firing pins will not move freely when heavy grease is acting like sludge.
So completely disassemble your actions right down to the firing pin, clean, and lightly coat with a thin oil will assure good operation. Even in well below zero weather!
Remember....... Most new firearms come packaged in heavy grease and cosmoline. PLEASE disassemble and clean all that out prior to firing!! You'll thank me later.
